Phoenix mosquitoes come from water people made. The daytime ankle-biters are Aedes aegypti, which breed in exactly those small containers and rarely fly more than a couple hundred yards from where they hatched. Mosquito season in the Valley runs roughly March through November, and it peaks with the monsoon in July through September when storm water sits in every low spot. Does yard spraying actually work?
